Mr. D's Bio
Mr. Dietrich graduated from Ohio University with two degrees (American History through Film and Integrated Social Studies). From 2010-2013, he taught Civics and Economics in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Prior to 2010, Mr. Dietrich worked in the private sector. He has worked many jobs over his lifetime. He has been a paperboy, a rec sports official, a fast food worker, a warehouse worker, a video store clerk, a cafeteria worker, a FedEx warehouse worker, an automotive quality control technician, a research analyst for a software company, a math tutor, a baseball coach, website designer, and a teacher. By far, teaching has been the most rewarding job he has ever had, but he does not regret that he did not start teaching sooner. His experience in the private sector from the early age of 12 has taught him the most important lesson of all: WORK HARD. No matter the job, the task, or the challenge that we face as human beings, if we honestly try our best on a consistent basis, then things will work out in the long run.
Mr. D is the 7th and 8th grade Social Studies teacher at Carter Community Charter School in Durham, NC. He is the Vice President of the Carter Community Charter Staff Senate.
Lastly, Mr. Dietrich would like to thank all of the newspaper subscribers that stiffed him on a weekly basis and took money out of the small paycheck of a 12 year old paperboy. It toughened him up for the real world, but really hurt Topps and Upper Deck.
